Place FBI under AAG Criminal and AAG National Security instead of DAG
Mandate would reorganize so FBI reports through Assistant Attorneys General for Criminal and National Security Divisions rather than the Deputy Attorney General, evaluating notifications currently going to DAG/AG.

Mandate Ch. 17 (Justice) — Align FBI placement: remove FBI from DAG direct supervision and place under general supervision of AAG Criminal Division and AAG National Security Division as applicable; evaluate/redirect notifications and approvals.
Undo plan
1) Restore clear AG/DAG supervisory line over FBI consistent with institutional norms.
2) Reject subordination that lets division AAGs politically throttle FBI independence on sensitive cases.
3) Publish org chart and notification matrices after notice to Congress.
4) Maintain FBI Director access to AG on exigent threats.
5) Verify: congressional notification compliance; NSD/Criminal coordination MOUs.
